So quiet on this forum !
In his book "Just above the mantelpiece" Wayne gives, at the end of this book, the photo credits.
Right behind J.H. Lynch ,courtesy of the artist. One would expect this comment at least suggests
he had the courtesy of someone who knew J.H. Lynch. Am I wrong here ?

I once asked Mr. Hemingway if he has got any information about Lynch, but he said that he has none. Also most of the pictures in the book are "courtesy of the artist" - I guess that means "we were not able to trace the copyright holder". Did you see the other notice in the book that states: "Both author and Publiher have made all reasonable efforts to trace artists and copyright owners of images used in this book and apologise for any unintentional omissions. They would be pleased to insert the appropriate acknowledgements in any subsequent edition. They are prepared to pay fair and reasonable fees for any usage made without compensation or agreement."
