I feel I've a million hours experience in this so with a view to updating this old post I'd like to suggest all old prints be left well alone!! PERIOD!
If any print owners don't like this advice then tuff! I warn you "DON'T TOUCH YOUR PRINT" Botox won't work!
If you really think you can't handle looking at the wear and tear its sufferred then photograph it - or get it scanned - and get the image retouched before its reprinted. Then sell the original that you struggle to live with!
You will get a good price for your old print and be relieved by having the money in the bank and not having to look at the defects in the old print!!
Remember. . . . . . . . . . there are plenty of fans that will love all the fading and damage you've grown to dislike!!
