Hi,
I just bought a great copy of "Farewell" (as named on the gallery) on ebay. The seller called it "Nina"... Ill let you know if it has a name on the back when it is delivered.
Yay!

Hello Flo,
Did you receive the print?
There was another 'farewell' on Ebay recently (august/sept 2007) which the vendor named Nina. I asked the vendor - in UK I think from memory - how she knew the correct name was 'Nina' and she replied that it was named on the back in the framers label.
So it seems NINA is the correct name of 'farewell'. At least in the absence of evidence to counter this.
The question perhaps is whether JHL painted and named NINA after and as an answer to Vandersude's NINA, which Gerrit had obviously painted as his challenge to the amazing success of JHL's TINA?
Perhaps someone will be able to shed light on the competitiveness of these two artists, which we can only see the results of from a distance??
cheers Ken
