Besides JH Lynch we also find other artists that painted gipsy girl stereotypes. You get the impression that there must have been a gipsy craze in the mid-sixties. I start this thread to collect information an images about the "Gipsy Girl" theme.
Let me start with this one: http://jhlynch.org/img/torino_gypsygirl.jpg
sent to my by PeterV from the Netherlands.
It's painted by "Torino" and shows all the typical clichés:
- black hair
- wide open décolletée
- "gypsy" earrings
- the strap of her dress almost falls off her shoulder
Have you got more examples?
